Experienced Design-for-Test DfT Engineer (f/m)

Job Description

Our task is to ensure testability, quality and yield of Intel's leading edge silicon products for mobile applications. If you are interested in the challenging world of System-on-Chip design and implementing Design-for-Test measures for such products, you should consider next step of your career within Intel.

We are looking for an experienced DFT Engineer to support us in performing DFT-related tasks in digital and mixed-signal designs. Your tasks are multi-functional and an important aspect of your work is to drive DFT innovation and to deliver productivity enhancements to distributed DFT teams.

We cooperate and work with teams around the world and from different fields, e.g. system engineering, digital SoC and analog/mixed-signal/RF IP design teams, layout and synthesis teams, test engineering, etc. We are always looking for ways to improve our methodology, flows and processes. We strive to be open and easy to work with and continuously learn and improve.


  • 3+ years of experience in digital IC or SOC design with a focus on design-for topics
  • Working knowledge of DFT methodology and concepts
  • Experience in software development desired
  • Practical experience in typical DFT tasks, like RTL analysis, scan synthesis, ATPG, boundary scan, memory BIST, pattern generation, verification and diagnosis not necessarily all
  • Basics of modeling non-digital blocks for ATPG and logic simulation tools advantageous
  • Capability to work with and guide others
  • Familiarity with Tessent EDT and MBIST Synopsys DFT-Compiler, VCS and Spyglass advantageous
  • Basic understanding of Automated Test Equipment ATE or experience working with ATEs advantageous
  • M.Sc. or equivalent in electrical engineering, computer science or a related field
  • Fluent English required, German desired
