Embedded Software Developer (f or m)

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic embedded software developer interested in supporting the development of Intel's latest automotive and transportation products.

In this position you will be part of the software organization working in the domain of autonomous driving.

 

You will design and develop software stack running on Intel IA cores embedded target systems.

In cooperation with an expert team you will participate in the development of a SW stack used for system bring-up, debugging and manufacturing.

 

You will be responsible for specifying, implementing (C, C++, Python) and testing your SW components.

 

You will handle interfaces used in automotive environment like UART, CAN, SPI, I2C, I2S, TDM, SATA, Ethernet, USB and PCIe.

You will support in-circuit / in-system measurements at the target HW, debugging under real time conditions and system bring-up using debug and measurement tools like data acquisition, DSO, Logic and Protocol Analyzers.

Therefore you are able to write small PC-based test tools in a high level SW language, capable running under Linux and/or Windows.

 

Additionally you will extend an existing script based (Python) test framework to support system bring-up, debugging and manufacturing.

 


Qualifications

Skills to succeed/Requirements:
 
- Automotive or industrial work experience.
- Excellent skills and practice in programming in C, C++ for embedded systems.
- Programming skills in Python script language is of advantage.
- Debugging skills and practice in the use of debugging tools and hardware measurement equipment.
- Experience in the domain of control interfaces like UART, SPI, I2C, USB, PCIe, and SATA is of advantage.
- Experience with low-level programming of microcontrollers, use of GPIO, interrupt configuration, use of DMA, hardware debuggers, JTAG
- Experienced BIOS, bootflow, UEFI and SEC and all the BIOS phases.
- Understanding of interrupts, security, EXE bootloader, stages.
- Very good communication skills in English written and spoken.
 
Preferred skills:

- Functional Safety development experience
- Working knowledge of RTOS's including Green Hills, QNX, and VxWorks
- Working knowledge of Agile SW development methodologies
- Experience with Logic/Bus Analyzers
- Familiarity with ITP debugging and programming
- Experience with Intel server platforms
- Familiarity with ADAS
