Who You'll Work With

The Senior Director's role is to develop, drive, and align Cisco architectural sales strategy, competitive sales strategy, technology vision and business strategy across the six Americas' theaters specific to the architectural marketplace. The Architectural Sales Strategy director is also responsible for all aspects of developing and implementing sales strategy across the entire Data Center portfolio inclusive of the acceleration technologies as well as the incubation solutions and escalation technologies as defined by each architecture. This individual drives overall sales strategy and execution for the direct incubation and escalation resources, while monitoring and measuring the indirect (or matrixed) acceleration and mainstream resources.

Role & Responsibilities
Senior Director, Americas Architectures Team
Strategy & Planning
* Lead strategic planning to achieve architectural sales goals by prioritizing and coordinating the go-to-market for architectural sales initiatives.
* Develop and communicate business/technology alignment plans to partners, customers, technology groups, and executive sales stakeholders.
* Help develop and execute the architectural sales strategy within each and across all Americas theaters.
* Strong focus on developing and execution strategy of mainstreaming technologies in to architectural selling motions over the next 1-3 years.

Acquisition & Deployment
* Assess and communicate risks associated with architectural specific acquisitions.
* Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for architectural related acquisitions to enhance the overall sales strategy.
* Define requirements for architectural sales initiatives and drive alignment between sales, business unit, and key executive stakeholders.
* Define and communicates strategy, policies, and standards for architectural sales organization for compensation, organizational, and headcount investments across the organization.

Operational Excellence Reporting
* Drive overall COI metrics to drive transparent visibility to all performance metrics including headcount investments, pipeline as leading indicator, attach rates, etc. across all theaters.
* Analyze and improve upon best practices across the theater architectural sales teams to maintain a technological and competitive edge within the market.
* Act as primary liaison for Cisco's architectural sales strategy by communications with Cisco's top executives, technology groups, marketing, partners, and customers.
* Develop, track, and control the associated architectural annual operating and capital budgets for enablement, investments, and operations.

* 10+ years experience managing and/or directing sales organizations and sales strategy.
* 15+ years experience working in the technology industry.
* Experience in strategic sales planning, execution, and policy development.
* Exposure to business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations.
* Proven experience in planning, organization, and development.
* Superior understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
* Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems and drive high performing sales strategies.
* Previous Senior Director level experience in a complex, highly matrixed environment
