Job Description

You will be responsible for: - developing policy positions and advocating for favorable local and state governmental policies and regulations to promote Intel's business interests in India - representing the organization on local and state legislative and regulatory matters and - implementing all phases of our policy strategy to ensure government policies promote Intel's interests. You will receive direction from Intel Corporation's Global Policy Directors and will coordinate efforts with local management and Intel India's lead government and policy manager. You will provide policy direction to and support for Intel's India sites and Intel business units and help to increase awareness within Intel of important emerging policy challenges. You will develop systems to effectively monitor and influence relevant local and state regulation and legislation. You will collaborate with your colleagues in the GPG Asia Japan team and in the rest of the Legal & Policy Group to help further Intel's business interests in the region.


Qualifications

You have a university degree and at least ten years, or equivalent, general advocacy experience on a range of policies. You are proficient in speaking English, as well as Kannada and other local languages in the South of India. You have:- an advanced degree in law, public policy, economics or political science - at least 10 years general advocacy experience on a range of policies - including significant experience with one or more critical policies affecting the high tech area such as telecom, security, privacy, trade, competition and intellectual property and - good relationships with relevant legislators and regulators. You are able to demonstrate strong analytical, oral and written communication skills and the ability to deal with multiple stakeholders to solve complex issues.You are smart, optimistic and excited to be part of a team that promotes a culture of quality and continuous learning through training, coaching and mentoringYou have a good sense of humour.
