What You'll Do

The team ensures compliance with the US Government and enables business in a dynamic environment. This particular position incorporates two distinct skill sets allowing the candidate the ability to learn and grow within a challenging IT environment. This position will provide the ability to support both the IT Infrastructure along with ensuring compliance specific to the Physical and Personnel Security.

Cisco is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated and well organized individual with the drive to master two distinct domains. This position provides an excellent opportunity to expand expertise while providing an opportunity for professional growth.

An ideal candidate will have previous experience in one of the domains and a willingness and curiosity to learn the other. Domain one is administering US Government Security Policies and Procedures to serve as a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO)/National Industrial Security Specialist. Domain two is a Linux System Administrator.

These two domains are not interrelated and sufficient training will be provided for the domain in which there is no prior experience.

Domain 1, CSSO will provide expertise, guidance and advice to personnel as required, concerning all security administrative functions in support of a NISP compliant Security Department. Functions include the processing of personnel security clearances via the e-QIP system, record maintenance, understanding of the intelligence community and access requests, administering security awareness training programs and preparing visit requests.

The CSSO will ensure all personnel with badge access to the facility have completed all requirements for that access.

Domain 2, Sys Admin will have knowledge of or willing to learn the following:

  • Unix/Linux Sys Admin
  • Redhat knowledge is a plus
  • Virtual Machine administration
  • Creating/Maintaining VMs
  • Syslog auditing
  • System upgrades/updates
  • Virus scanning
  • Knowledge of ElasticSearch Logstash Kibana is a plus
  • Any number of years of relevant experience
  • Configuring and maintaining highly available systems
  • Develop automated routines and system integrations
  • Scripting languages (Python, Perl, Ruby, PowerShell, VBScript, etc.)
  • Deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining web services
  • Experience with Citrix is a plus (XenApp, NetScaler, Citrix Server)
  • Configuration/Change Management experience is a plus (Ansible, DSC, Vagrant, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
  • Backup and Monitoring knowledge
  • Network administration (firewalls, security, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, etc.)
  • Converged Infrastructure and Cloud Computing experience is a plus (Nutanix, OpenStack, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Must be a US citizen with a current TS/SCI Security Clearance and full-scope polygraph.
