Job Description
Microarchitecture Research Lab MRL is a world-class research lab that excels at novel product development through fundamental architecture research. MRL in India are looking for highly qualified, dynamic researchers for path breaking research CPU Architecture.The India Lab, in collaboration with MRL-US and Intel CPU product architecture teams, spearheads advanced research of x86 microprocessor Cores. The goal is to research novel techniques that will reposition the trajectory of CPU Cores towards much greater power and area efficiency with breakaway performance. A key associated research focus is the evaluation of emerging memory technologies and their optimized usage in on-die and off-die cache and memory hierarchies. All Research Scientists will advance the state-of-the-art in deep collaboration with product architecture/design teams while also contributing to scientific literature/conferences and developing Intellectual Property. CPU Architecture Researchers will be responsible for power/area/performance driven architecture, microarchitecture development and optimization. Strong software expertise in C++/Perl/Python and experience building architecture simulators or system software is very relevant to most of these roles.
