At Cisco, we want every employee to know they have a fair pay package, one that is also market competitive and personally motivating. Our team strives to make our goal a reality.

Who You'll Work With

The Compensation Planning & Analytics (P&A) team is the team within the group that helps us monitor the market practices and creates the guidelines that keep us on track to our goals.   We provide expertise in budget planning, market analytics and global benchmarking for the Total Rewards organization, including analyzing data elements such as Base Pay, Incentives, Stock and general market/industry trends. We collaborate with Compensation Managers, Consultants, and Program Leaders to conduct special analysis and address critical business issues and general program/guideline design, as well provide operational support to the team.

Who You Are
You are coming into the team at an exciting time, where we expect to move beyond the traditional data/analytics platform and into a platform enriched with emergent market intelligence and business insights. As a thought leader in our space, you will play a key role in building out our roadmap of next generation analytics!

Running the businessAs you learn about Compensation at Cisco, you will have the opportunity to apply your compensation and analytics expertise in core P&A areas, including:

  • Participate in the design and optimization of strategic business insight dashboards and analyses.
  • Collaborate with the Comp Solutions Enablement team to understand and influence the scope and prioritization of building out our data sets and insights and getting them launched into our enterprise, so all HR partner and Business leaders have access to the best intelligence.
  • Prioritize and sequence expansion of our SQL database with even more data elements, including: Sales Commission data, Benefits Market data, Total Rewards Data, Executive Comp Market data, Cisco Actual Comp data.

Evolving the business: Working across teams, you are expected to continuously seek to transform the way we work through active participation in & contribution to: market/trends research, team development, internal and external network building, stakeholder management, visualization techniques/tools, etc.  You can drive measurable impact through ongoing process, quality and efficiency improvements in our core operations, as well as expansion of high ROI capabilities, including:

  • Partner with team members to define data architecture and methodology in support of next generation analytics.
  • Work to integrate Acquired Company, Talent Acquisition (TA) and Inclusion & Collaboration (I&C) data and insights into our analytics platform to enable connected HR insights & storytelling

Changing the business: You have the opportunity to advance our transformational goals through the identification of new, emergent data sources that contribute to a wider range of internal and external data insights that are more real-time than traditional/annual survey sources. Leveraging your creativity, courage and thought leadership, contribute to the design of an aspirational “Cisco PayView” market insights application for leaders, managers and employees that pushes the boundaries of transparency – it’s our internal version of Glassdoor.   Consider how we might leverage a “closed loop” feedback mechanism that brings Cisco employee perspectives into the emergent market insights platform.

We believe the following key behaviors are essential to successful transformational change in our organization:

  • Speak up: We want to hear your ideas, opinions, voice; ask for clarity when needed
