What You’ll Do

You will build and execute outcome-based communications campaigns and content for multiple internal and external audiences focused on specific business areas or priorities, such as Security and Enterprise Networks. Based on a deep insight into audience perceptions, you will design a programme of communications that helps shift both internal and external audience perceptions both at a regional EMEAR level as well as at a local theatre/country level to better position Cisco’s value and relevance in the market.

  • You build and maintain strong working relationships with relevant colleagues across the EMEAR business and in HQ to develop insight into business goals and key activities in order to convert into communications campaigns that help the countries drive impact locally.
  • You work in true collaboration with key colleagues within and outside the business to extract relevant information from multiple sources to build content that shifts audience perceptions 
  • You socialize communications campaigns with multiple communications and business colleagues to advance message consistency and impact
  • You have excellent written communications skills to develop meaningful and engaging (jargon-free) messaging documents, blogs, announcements, bylines, media pitches, briefing documents, Q&As, video scripts, presentations, and social media content etc.
  • You drive regular planning and reporting meetings with key colleagues and provide communications counsel to relevant communications, marketing, and business colleagues
  • You track and report on communication success metrics and use the data to continually improve ongoing communications campaigns
  • You have strong interpersonal skills; intuitive ability to read people, influence where appropriate and execute when necessary
  • You have proven project management skills with the ability to meet milestones, tight deadlines, and balance concurrent projects
  • You are a flexible and resilient problem solver with the ability to gain consensus among others and handle sensitive situations
  • You demonstrate high degree of patience, integrity and take the initiative

Who You Are

You are a seasoned communications professional with 8-10 years of direct PR and employee communications experience, having worked directly with journalists and on an international level. You have a track record of translating business goals into communications goals, understanding audience perceptions, and crafting integrated communications campaigns (internal and external) in support of the company and region business objectives.

  • You have extraordinary content creation and writing skills, and a good understanding of using social media to advance communications goals 
  • You are a Communications professional in B2B sector with PR, internal/executive communication and/or pan EMEAR region experience
  • You have senior level experience in giving counsel and mentorship to executives; need to have credibility and presence with senior management
  • You have a deep understanding of how communications and marketing should work together
  • You are self-motivated with ability to handle areas of responsibility with minimum supervision and guidance
  • You are able to work as part of a regional and global team 
  • You are able to exercise discretion when presented with sensitive information or confidential issues
  • You are able to prioritize high impact communications as well as pinpoint and discontinue low impact communications
