What You'll Do 

Global Procurement Services is responsible for the procurement of all Cisco indirect goods and services enterprise wide. We serve as the Supply Chain Manager and Procurement arm for all non-production spend with primary responsibility of delivering best in class procurement services, contracts and supply base capabilities.

The Category and Supplier Manager position will specialize in the area of Integrated Facilities Management in a Global environment. As a Trusted Advisor and Subject Matter Expert, you will work closely with our Workplace Resource Team in providing support in an Outsourced model with Suppler Management, Category Strategy, managing risk and maximizing the total value return of the program.   

  • Manage the day to day relationship with our FM Service Providers
  • Provide a point of escalation to resolve contractual disputes
  • Hold the Service Provider accountable for contract deliverables
  • Working with the WPR team to deliver the contractually agreed upon client savings commitments and process enhancements and/or transformation solutions
  • Will assist our stakeholders with strategic sourcing, supplier management and program governance
  • Provide industry insight, thought leadership and practical solutions to meet Cisco’s business objectives within the FM category
  • Work with Global Category Leaders, Service Delivery Manager, Global Service Owners, Project Executives, client executives and staff
  • Establishes and executes category strategy that brings value add to the business
  • Manage supplier relationships post-contract execution including resolving supplier performance issues
  • Proven experience leading large cross-functional strategic projects
  • Strong analytical skills & attention to detail with the ability to action the analysis
  • Knowledgeable of industry changes, trends and key issues
  • Conducts market research and benchmarking
  • Experienced in strategic sourcing and the RFP process
  • Proven ability to lead or work in cross-functional teams in a dynamic global work environment under limited supervision
  • Proven ability to lead and influence others across a virtual team especially in contract review and negotiations
  • Ensure compliance with Cisco Procurement Policies in the US as well as globally

Who You'll Work With

The successful candidate will work closely with and report into the IFM Sr. Manager and Director of the Business Services Organization under Global Procurement Services. You will partner closely with our Workplace Resource Leaders to understand strategic business priorities in order to provide guidance and governance with our Service Providers.

Who You Are

You have excellent customer service skills and strong presentation, oral & written skills across a variety of company levels with the ability to influence others of all levels to achieve desired results using effective communications, presentations and analysis.  You have strong decision making/problem solving and solution implementation, strong organizational, consultative, and collaboration skills – builds relationships internally with both internal and external partners.  You will need advanced proficiency in computer-based business applications (including Microsoft software products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Minimum requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience or more in the area of Facilities Management and all related sub-categories at a global level
  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in evaluating supplier programs, identifying cost savings, sourcing and negotiating, developing sourcing strategy, reviewing contracts and monitoring supplier performance
  • Bachelor Degree with Masters a plus
