Description du poste Les sous-titreurs sont chargés de produire des sous-titres pour un vaste éventail de programmes télévisés, de façon à refléter les intentions et les informations du programme original auprès des téléspectateurs sourds et malentendants. Responsabilités essentielles Interpréter la bande-son d’un programme et produire des sous-titres clairs et faciles à lire qui reflètent à la fois le sens et le ton du programme. Se familiariser avec toutes les techniques de sous-titrage disponibles, y compris le sous-titrage préparé à l’avance et le « sous-titrage vocal » (reformulation en vue d’un sous-titrage en direct, à l’aide d’un logiciel de reconnaissance vocale), de façon à fournir des sous-titres de grande qualité pour tous les programmes télévisés sous-titrés. Travailler avec calme et précision dans des délais très courts et pendant les diffusions en direct. Relire et corriger son propre travail ainsi que celui d’autres sous-titreurs et s’assurer qu’un standard de qualité optimale est constamment atteint. Travailler avec des sous-titreurs et des assistants au sein d’une équipe de sous-titrage. Coordonner le travail d’autres membres de l’équipe de sous-titrage pour fournir des sous-titres en direct et préenregistrés de grande qualité. Assurer la qualité de son propre travail et respecter les délais en toute circonstance. Aider à tous les niveaux du processus de sous-titrage, en fonction des besoins. Job Summary: We are now looking for a Captioner for Access Services Operations Specialist. In this role, you will make content accessible to audiences with sensory disabilities on behalf of customers (for example Deaf or hard of hearing, blind or partially sighted) or to speakers of other languages. You will also ensure that the access services files and streams convey messages in line with the relevant editorial and regulatory policies. You execute and operate workflow tools and systems for the preparation and delivery of access services. Live captions are produced primarily using voice recognition software and a process called re-speaking. Pre-recorded captions are time-coded to ensure captions match the audio track. Captioners work in a broadcast environment, providing a service, to multiple territories, 24 hours a day, and seven days a week. Captioners must be prepared to work on a rotational shift pattern covering a range of shifts including weekend and Holidays. Responsibilities: You will produce captions of high accuracy You will review other Captioners’ work for accuracy and correct as necessary You will deliver captions in a timely manner, often with very tight deadlines You will provide captioning support for colleagues You will provide and update daily reports on tasks and issues as required You will troubleshoot problems both with support and independently Key Qualifications: Able to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes, and to apply and share learned skills and knowledge quickly Strong time-management skills.
