Buyer Support Student - Kiryat Gat

Job Description

Purchasing department responsible of Fab Material sourcing and supply chain management.

As a student, you will be responsible for:

- Support buyers with supply chain activities.

- Generate supply chain reports & analysis

- Deal with basic inventory management

- Utilize inventory reports, error reports, and part number / supplier information to maintain & monitor part set-up parameters, maintain supplier database information

- Provide supply chain operational support to fab customers

- Work closely with supplier to ensure the supply chain is healthy and cost effective

Job Description:

Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to acquire materials, components, equipment, and services in a cost effective and timely manner.

Support commodity deliverable to assure cost, quality, availability and time to market objectives are met.

Acquire and maintain technical understanding of products purchased.

Perform cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities.

Perform bench-marking and develop new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate.

Monitor the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

May recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis, value engineering, design for cost initiatives, alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria.

Responsibilities may also include contract negotiation and maintenance, setting supplier expectations and tracking performance.

At higher levels may require domestic or global expertise of assigned commodities.


Qualifications

You should be a student currently pursuing a B.A. Degree or an M.B.A. Degree in Finance or purchasing related field such as Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, and/or Business Management.
Additional qualifications include:
- Good PC and analytical skills
- Excellent teamwork and customer orientation skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Hebrew
Fluency in English would be an added advantage
