Cisco’s Applications group is focused on building high growth software businesses which are leading the company’s transition to new subscription/SaaS business models.   Today, we are a $6B product organization with market leadership across collaboration, IOT and application analytics. What You'll Do

In order to improve our transformation to subscription/SaaS business models, executing improvements on our subscription policies and capabilities is critical. In this role, you will partner with our team (Applications Group) and Cisco Ops/IT to ensure we are driving the right priorities, providing transparency on the work and ensuring the right governance and engagement. You will be responsible for managing the policy reviews for our team, providing inputs in to the operations work streams (e.g. billing, provisioning, offer standards etc.) and assisting in monthly advisory forums. The ideal candidate will have business systems and subscription experience, proven operations experience, excellent communication and framing skills, and work well with all levels of leadership.


Who You'll Work With

The candidate will work in close partnership with internal stakeholders in a global and agile environment. Focus will be in partnering cross-functionally with BE leadership, internal and corporate offer teams, BE PM/engineering, and Corporate IT/operations to ensure effective prioritization, execution and overall transparency of subscription policies, strategies and capability enablement.

 

Role

Business Systems Manager, Application Group

Reporting to the Director of Planning & Operations, this role is accountable for our policy, prioritization, and governance work in building out subscriptions operational capabilities.

 

Position responsibilities:

·     Assist in driving prioritization alignment for system improvements needed for CTG and the broader Application group

·     Manage the approval process for policy decisions with our internal stakeholders

·     Ensure governance and effective initiative execution of system efforts

·     Track and ensure transparent communication for all requested and impacting system efforts

·     Define, capture and provide insights for operational metrics aligned to subscription transactions

·     Connect teams and resources doing ‘like’ work to deliver holistically and E2E

·     Ensure appropriate participation in and contribute to digital transformation assessment work streams driving Cisco standards

·     Provide subject matter expertise on subscription/SaaS best practices

·     Foster a culture of transparency, accountability and consistency

·     Assist in ad hoc business analysis in support of CTG strategic initiatives

·     Build and maintain cross Cisco relationships for effective partnering and results

 

Requirements

This is a critical role providing leadership in managing the operations of a $4B+ business. This role requires working cross-functional collaboration with key leaders to ensure effective execution of business outcomes.

 

·     Strong interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence leaders

·     Strong business systems analyst, operations and process skills

·     Developed verbal and written communication along with effective framing is key

·     Experience in subscription/SaaS operations is key

·     Program management desired

·     Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability

·     Self-starter, ability to work independently

·     Fun, highly energetic personality; great team player that works well in collaborative situations

 

Qualifications

·     12+ years of relevant work experience in business operations, transactional systems, program management, with exposure to financial processes

·     Proven track record of leading strategic initiatives

·     MBA a strong plus, but not required

·     Strong and consistent track record of academic and professional accomplishments
