Enterprise Wireless is a $2B+ business within the Enterprise Access Team which is a $11B+ business within Cisco. Cisco is a market leader in the space with leading market share in a highly competitive market characterized by pricing pressures, several competitors and rapidly changing technology landscape. You will be part of the team which is doing holistic, end-to-end strategic business model transformations that are critical to driving growth and Cisco’s transformation to a more software-oriented company. This role has high visibility and deep involvement from the senior leadership team within Cisco.

What You'll Do

-Market assessment / segmentation, portfolio and marketshare analysis that results in fiscal and quarterly business plans to bolster financial results

- Competitive research (primary and secondary) on pricing, business models and strategy to develop competitive “market share gain” plans in specific regions in the world

- Driving the Quarterly Business Reviews, Long Range Planning and Forecasting which is presented to the ELT as well as evaluate any “special projects” for the wireless business.

- Develop new offers and consumption models to drive transition from perpetual to subscription software motion, and to drive adoption of newer products / software

- Collaborate with broader product management and marketing team on the GTM/RTM/pricing & launch for new products, new software monetization / consumption strategy for enterprise wireless team.

- Conduct primary research to understand customer preferences for consuming software, analyze software consumption models (perpetual vs. subscription) and recommend strategies to drive adoption of subscription software. 

The successful candidate will have strong leadership, teamwork, collaborative, and problem solving skills. The person must be able to scale up to high-level market and product strategy and scale down to detailed financial analysis, licensing, and operations work.  Enterprise network industry, product, and channel knowledge is required.

Who You'll Work With

This roles reports to the VP Product Management, Enterprise Wireless. We are a small team with get-it-done attitude and don't shy away from taking bold decisions to grow the business. You will work closely with peer product management teams, finance and operations team to develop a well-thought out strategy for Enterprise Wireless team.

You are a maverick who has a keen eye for detail and thoughtful, data driven approach to building hypothesis prior to drawing conclusions. You excel in transitioning from strategy formulation to execution, and can communicate your recommendations and plan of action in simple yet effective way to senior leadership.

Minimum requirements:

-Experience in high-tech industry with min. 3+ years in strategy, management consulting, corporate development

-Good problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex problems into simple terms

-Self-motivated and willing to work collaboratively with a cross functional team including product management, sales, finance, operations, services

-Strong analytical / business modeling skills

-MBA from a top tier program

Desired skills:

- Prior working experience in SaaS / software subscription space

- Strong customer orientation with the ability to listen, organize and champion key initiatives and projects
