What You'll Do

You will be responsibilities for development, maintenance and automation of ETL pipelines for handling batch-mode and real-time data, design and development of persistence solutions in SQL and NoSQL, implementation of relational, columnar and graph databases, design and implementation of Big Data Lambda architecture, design and development of high-performance message queues, prototyping of cutting-edge tools and ETL pipelines and operationalization of the data pipelines for product feature releases

The Enterprise Routing Group in Cisco is the industry leader in enterprise networking with a proven track records in building innovative wired and wireless solutions. This particular position is in the enterprise SD-WAN analytics team.

Who You Are

You have 7+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer. You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field


Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Linux operation system (OS, networking, process level)
  • Expert in Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hbase, Spark, Kafka, Flume, Hive, etc)
  • Proficient in AWS -- RDS, EC2, RedShift, S3, AWS cloud Data migration, AWS Security
  • NoSQL -- HBase, MongoDB, Cassandra
  • Experience with Columnar, MPP data warehousing (e.g. Redshift) Cloud ETL tools (e.g. AWS data pipeline and S3)
  • Writing and optimizing SQL statements OLTP and OLAP data schemes
  • Programming language -- Java, Python, SQL
  • Real-time Stream processing -- Spark streaming, Apache Storm, Flink
  • Version control solutions such as Git
  • Passionate about being a part of a tight-knit Operations team
  • Experience formulating and managing a vision, roadmaps and detailed plans
  • Attention to detail and a good grasp of task feasibility and effort
  • Work on small to large-sized complex projects and build new features and/or capabilities
