Job Description

The Intel GO Automated Driving Group is looking for a Functional Safety Manager.Automated driving will change lives and societies for the better, resulting in fewer accidents, greater mobility, and more efficient traffic flow. If YOU are passionate to change the way we live, YOU should be part of this team.Your role as Functional Safety Manager within the Intel Automated Driving Group ADG will be to provide technical leadership for the product line safety function and for its customers. You will perform this in close cooperation with different functional owners both within ADG as well as across Intel. This challenging role requires extensive project leadership skills and a thorough understanding of system safety standards within the automotive market.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive changes needed within the organization to secure ISO26262 compliance.
  • Be responsible for assessing and determining product line compliance to the internal Safety Case Policy.
  • Direct re-use of safety cases and re-use of designs through advice, metrics reporting, and timely escalation in order to achieve the required standards of leadership in safety and cost.
  • Own and drive safety process improvement
  • Take responsibility for developing and providing training, coaching and assessment and be the expert technical resource for the engineers in the product lines.
  • Recognize when and how to address critical system safety topics with customers and represent the business in forums.
  • Be the main contributor of the implementation of a work process that is aligned to the ISO26262 standards.
  • Participate in evaluations of proposed technical solutions in decided architecture with the purpose to judge the possibility of developing and calibrating a SW solution. Participate as a representative of the ADG FuSa team within system teams for example when performing Hazard Analysis, FMEA, FTA, etc.
  • Plan and document the system safety activities and work products in a System Safety Plan
