ASIC Frontend Flow Automation Engineer

Job Description

As part of the Next Generation and Standards (NGS) 5G BBIC team, we are looking for a senior level Front End Design Automation Engineer to join the 5G Mobile Wireless Technology Development at Intel.

As an experienced SoC Frontend Design Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for driving methodology, and productivity improvements in design flows. In addition, you will also own front line support for tools including RTL build, Static Checks (such and Lint, UPF checks, etc.), Simulation tools, GIT, etc.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following behaviors:

  • Strong inter-personal skills influencing strategic planning, engineering, customers, and management
  • Demonstrated capability in handling complex design environments and excellent commitment to customer needs

Minimum Qualifications:

You must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering OR Computer Science Engineering with 5+ years of experience, or a Master's degree and 3+ years of experience in the following:

  • Driving methodology and flows across multiple areas such as RTL integration/simulation, synthesis and static checks such as CDC, Formal equivalency checks etc.
  • EDA tools such as VCS/NCSim, Synopsys and Design Compiler experience
  • Experience in RTL/Logic design methodologies, simulation/debug
  • Exposure to methodology around Front end to Back end hand-off, synthesis, Equivalence, RTL IP Handoff
  • Good knowledge scripting with PERL, TCL and shell scripting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in HDL coding including Verilog and/or System Verilog
  • Experience on SOC integration, IP packaging and integration
  • Experience using HDK/Inway a plus
