Position description

In this position, you will be part of Intel's Next Generation and Standards 5G RF Development Team. Our team builds advanced 5G transceivers used for a variety of wireless prototypes and demonstrations and eventually, products.

What you’ll do

As an Analog Design Engineer at Intel, you will be responsible for design, simulation, and help in validation of RF IC blocks such as LNA, Mixer, power amplifiers, and VCOs. 

You will also be responsible for:

  • Close supervision and working with layout engineers
  • Close working with test engineers to validate the design after the Silicon is back in house
  • Architectural feasibility study and evaluation prior to actual design selection and implementation

Must have

  • The candidate must possess a minimum of MSEE in Electrical Engineering with specific focus in radio communications.
    Minimum 5 years of experience in RFIC/Analog CMOS design for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G or LTE products.
  • Experience with Cadence and ADS design tools required.

Nice to have

  • Fundamental understanding of the Submicron, Low Voltage, Low Power CMOS RFIC Design
  • Proficiency in using Cadence Design Environment and ADS Momentum Tools
  • Knowledge and design of Op-Amp, bandgap, LDO, IF Filters, VGA, VCO and PLLs
  • Designed circuits that are used in high volume production
  • Working knowledge of different radio transceiver architecture
  • System knowledge of various modulation techniques; including the benefits and limitations (e.g. OFDM, MIMO)
  • Layout practices for Deep Submicron Technology and their impact on circuit performance
  • Submicron Device Physics
  • Lab experience in measure and characterization of the transceiver performance
  • Good communication, problem solving and documentation skills
