Administrative Assistant - Security and Trust 

What You'll Do

The Security and Trust Organization (S&TO) is responsible for driving pervasive security across people, process, policy, and technology to reduce and manage risk and exposure for Cisco, our employees, customers, and partners. A unique to the industry organization, S&TO brings together the building blocks of enterprise security, trust, data protection and privacy to give Cisco value proposition for our customers. The focus of S&TO is to secure the business, enable differentiate value for our customers through trust and ensure the business velocity of Cisco by opening new business opportunities with embedded trust and security.

As Cisco drives forward in the areas of IoT, software, and digitization, S&TO paves the path of Everything Connected Securely.

Responsibilities include:
• Calendar Management: Managing Senior Manager's calendar and daily schedule to include prioritizing conflicting meeting requests, tracking action items and commitments of Senior Manager and following-up to ensure completion. This will require exceptional organization skills, juggling multiple priorities and keeping a busy executive on track and on schedule. 
• Meeting Planning and organizations: Assisting Senior Manager in planning and organizing meetings by taking responsibility for assembling the agenda, location, accommodating technology requirements based on participant needs, and all other meeting logistics. May further prepare meeting briefing documents by taking and disseminating notes and formulating post meeting action item list. 
• Travel Briefing Preparation: Creating travel packs for international trips. This work includes combining all event information in addition to coordinated logistics of travel and also customer/team asks. 
• Correspondence/Approvals: Supporting Senior Manager by acting as a proxy for communications and approvals as authorized. Answering general questions as necessary, referring (filtering) routine matters to appropriate parties, and following up to ensure proper disposition. Taking initiative to resolve problems within specified policies and guidelines, and providing mentorship to administrative community members on problem-solving. Determining when executive action is required and supplying a recommendation where appropriate. 
• Travel and Expense Management: Responsible for making in-depth global travel arrangements for Senior Manager and managing Cisco expenses. 
• Confidentiality: Candidate will deal professionally with highly sensitive and confidential matters and materials. 

In addition to general administrative duties of an Administrative Assistant, daily tasks are carried out at a higher level of complexity. Specifically, the critical behaviors of this role are:

• To earn administrative community respect and have the ability to work with and through others as needed

The Trust Strategy Office (TSO) within S&TO is focused on enabling business velocity for Cisco by embedding security into the future of everything we do as a company. As Cisco evolves its business models and offerings, TSO supports the desired business outcomes without sacrificing security and privacy. Who You Are
You have high-energy with a passion for thinking bigger and broader than the role itself. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, independent judgment, utmost professionalism and ability to balance both strategic and tactical actions. 

Our minimum requirements for this role:

● 4+ years’ experience in an administrative environment. A minimum of two years of experience supporting a principal who was at the Senior Manager level and above.

● Preferred: BA/BS or equivalent experience; past work experience in the high-tech industry.
● Experience with Windows desktop computer applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
● Experience in planning meetings and coordinating travel. 
● Ability to navigate web and email at high competency knowledge.
● Ability to multi-task.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of Executive/Senior staff and clients.
● Generally, receives no instruction on routine tasks and very little instruction on new projects. 
● Works in an organized and disciplined manner. Detail oriented.
● Advanced desktop calendar management program experience.
