3G/4G Protocol Stack Developer RRC (f/m)

Job Description

In order to strengthen our team of UMTS/LTE RRC protocol stack developers we are looking for candidates interested in:

* Developing new functionality according 3GPP releases

* Developing the design and architecture based on new requirements or improvement potential

* Taking responsibility for a team and technical problems to drive it to completion and delivering the protocol stack to the customers with high quality until market entry.


The ideal candidate will enjoy technical challenges as part of their regular tasks.

These tasks comprise of the following activities:

* In depth analysis, requirements breakdown, design and implementation of new functionality for the UMTS/LTE Radio Resource Control sub-layer, according to the evolving 3GPP standard

* Identify and realize design and architectural changes with the team

* Conduct presentations or training's knowledge sharing in team / interfacing with customer

* Conduct code reviews and SW acceptance

* Development and enhancement of module / component tests on a powerful host test system

* Analysis of defect reports and traces, followed by development of bug-fixes or enhancements to the system

* Integration of development increments into component / system releases, generation of appropriate component release documentation and maintenance of the implemented modules


Required skills:
* University degree: Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical Engineering or Information Technology
* Education as Software Engineer
* Work experience at least 4 years or equivalent
* MS Office skills
* Programming skills in C
* Experience in Development of communication protocols on terminal or network side
* Familiar with relevant 3GPP specifications for UMTS/LTE handsets especially Radio Resource Control
* Leadership skills
* Good communication skills

Desired skills:
* University: Main focus on Communications Engineering
* Flexibility
* Programming skills in SDL / Java / Perl
* Familiarity with commercial protocol trace & analysis tools
