2018 Summer Intern Process Engineering

Job Description

A Process Engineer plans and conducts experiments to fully characterize the process throughout the development cycle pathfinding, discovery, definition, and development, and high volume manufacturing ramp. Drives improvements on quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability and/or capability, productivity and safety and/or ergonomic over variables such as material, method, equipment, environment and operating personnel.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Ability to deep dive and troubleshoot problems with a hands-on approach and willingness to learn continuously.
  • Strong process development skills.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. Minimum Qualifications: Be currently pursuing a Master of Science Engineering degree. Experience with Statistical Process Control SPC and/or Design of Experiment DOE principles. Experience in at least 1 programming language. Preferred Qualifications: Mechanical Engineering curriculum preferred, others will be considered. Technology manufacturing environment Semiconductor packaging process. Experience or interest in Machine Learning is desired. Experience or interest in computer vision, control systems, and/or sensors. Experience or interest in systems design. Interest in systems-level project management.
