Cisco’s Industry Solutions Group is looking to expand our team focused on Oil & Gas in the Americas! 


Who You'll Work With

The Solutions Sales Specialist will work closely with the Oil & Gas Industry Leader, industry architects, and direct account teams to create business value for IoT solutions with a defined set of customers and partners to increase revenue for Cisco.


Who You Are

Key Attributes of the role include:

  • Business credibility to create trusted Subject Matter Expert(SME) relationships with customer line of business (LOB) decision makers
  • Industry expertise in key focused verticals (Transportation, DOT, Public Transit, etc.)
  • The SSS function is responsible for validating and enabling the acceleration of our Industry solutions GTM enablement with Account teams and partners.
  • Unique role in which direct interaction with customers are required on strategic engagements lead by account teams
  • 5-10 years combined Sales in Technology Solutions and Professional Services, industry and technology experience.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent, 5+ years of experience in technology sales/marketing and/or delivery management specific to Transportation.
  • Must be able to travel

  • Superb communication and presentation skills, experience working with multi-functional teams.
  • A high degree of creative ability and curiosity, analytical thinking, and general eye for business
  • Must be able to operate in a dynamic, high stress environment and handle ambiguity
  • Consultative selling background multi-lingual ability and project management experience a plus.

What You'll Do

The solutions sales function is responsible for taking our solutions to market for Cisco.

  • This GTM role is both Customer Led and Partner Led.  Need to train the Account teams and partners to sell the Solution in order to scale the business.
  • Spends  >50% of time in with customer/account team; representing the LoB industry plays. Mainly interacts with Acct teams, LOB, Operations/Maintenance
  • Drive account engagement with relevant ecosystem/GTM partners for each Industry Play (where we have joint solution and joint GTM strategy)
  • Account teams own the customer relationship; ISS supports LOB engagements and industry GTM strategy
  • Industry plays should strongly influence the customer’s decision to buy
