What You'll Do
You will be responsible for driving Data Center (DC) Switching sales and competitive efforts for Cisco’s DC Sales Architecture team.   You will consult with sales account teams and DC specialists, business units, field channel teams, and cross-functional organizations to set strategy, and build & execute Go To Market (GTM) plans for the DC Switching business globally.

Role & Responsibilities:
* Drive Nexus, ACI and competitive sales efforts in the DC switching space.

*Define DC Switching sales strategy; plan, develop, and manage execution of Cisco's strategy and meeting Cisco's financial targets

* Understand and communicate Cisco’s DC Switching, SDN and Hybrid Cloud strategy to internal and external audiences

* Be an integral part of the business planning process and ensure close interaction and collaboration with the Business Units, Regional Data Center teams and Account teams on all aspects of running the DC Switching business

* Provide competitive subject matter expertise and thought leadership into our sales teams; understand our competitors’ offers and tactics; drive competitive sales plans

*Participate in customer briefings and bring subject matter expertise to large, complex deals.

* Collaborate and build partnerships across Cisco, at all levels, to drive the DC switching programs & initiatives across the business

Who You Are
Sales Experience and Leadership
5+ years of Sales experience, delivering results in a technical sales organization

*Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration, building relationships and driving success in a matrixed environment

* Outstanding communications skills, experience presenting & interfacing with customers at all levels, and conducting executive conversations

*Must be comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic environment where you are empowered to make decisions and drive the business

* Experience in building a business around Data Center Switching technologies

* In-depth understanding of DC Switching Trends and evolution

* Keen insights to DC market opportunities and challenges

* Working knowledge of Software Defined Networking solutions, benefits and trends

* Solid understanding of key Cisco competitors in Data Center Switching
