What You'll Do

In this highly visible role as an Accounting Manager for Cisco Systems Inc, you will handle the core accounting and close process for Cisco U.S. entity. As a member of U.S. controller team, you review and provide oversight and supervision support to Accountant and Process Lead Ops Managers who manage Cisco accounting operations activities, review and analyze financial reports and find opportunities to improve current processes and implement ad-hoc projects. You collaborate with global teams and will be the key point of contact for U.S. entity. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work on Cisco’s consolidated financial reports and U.S. financial reports.  We partner closely with the broader Cisco business finance teams to drive finance alignment, accounting compliance and manage financial risk. 


Responsibilities:

● Manage U.S. entity accounting close process, review monthly accounting records to ensure accuracy and integrity of both U.S. and consolidated accounting records.  

● Support intercompany transactions to ensure they are executed in accordance with intercompany agreements.

● Collaborate with the external auditor. Build a robust relationship with Tax, business finance teams, various accounting teams and other key stakeholders to execute corporate-wide initiatives and ensure integrity and accuracy of financial records   

●  Lead and/or participate in various ad-hoc special projects (accounting processes, changes for accounting compliance and/or systems) to support Cisco’s business strategy, new business models and M&A integration

 


Who You'll Work With

You would play a key role in the Global Accounting and Reporting (GAR) Group, that rolls up to Corporate Controllers Group (CCG) in Finance. Our team works with various finance and accounting teams to review financial statements, account reconciliation, SOX or Internal Control matters. You collaborate with various business finance teams, accounting operation teams, IT, SOX, Tax and global entity controllers on accounting transactions, governance and compliance matters and accounting initiatives.

The minimum requirements for this role are:

● Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent practical experience is required, with 5+ years of work experience in accounting/finance. CPA/CA is a plus.

● Experience with U.S. GAAP and Oracle/Hyperion knowledge is a plus

● A proven ability to work in cross-functional, fast paced environment and lead complex initiatives

● Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
