What You'll Do
This is a highly visible and business impacting role. You will work directly with all the groups across AS and within Cisco Services to:
  • Build and implement an Advanced Services Program and Project Management (PMO) practice.
  • Serve as PM process leader responsible for designing a scalable, global and agile model to onboard, manage, and deploy AS PM resources.
  • Manage team of Project Managers- includes employees and vendors.  
  • For vendor management, this includes managing the vendors on a quarterly basis—onboarding, off-boarding, and maintaining the budget.
  • Manage the AS Systems Investment spend – aligning with Services and OSP budgets.
  • Define and implement KPIs and metrics measurement system to monitor the health and effectiveness of the PMO practice and Delivery Execution process.
  • Facilitate intake, prioritization, and staffing of new programs and projects.
  • Advise and mentor Program and Project Managers in best practices, organizational alignment, and leadership priorities.
  • Requires a strong relationship with AS global teams to streamline PM activities to achieve business KPIs.
  • Drive ongoing process improvements to further drive value for our AS stakeholders and customers.
  • Serve a policy owner for the PMO process; define, approve and monitor compliance, reporting to the AS Senior Leadership team on a quarterly basis.
  • Partner with Program Management Centralization Leader (Run-the-Business) to advise AS business leaders on their strategy and approach to hire, leverage, and deploy PM delivery resources.
  • Facilitate ongoing health checks to ensure quality of the AS PMO.  
  • Drive process for onboarding and training new PMs into AS.
  • Collaborate with an ecosystem of experts to achieve the above.

Who You Are
You are independent and decisive with strong business acumen and judgement.  You are assertive and can clarify ambiguity with strong communication skills. You are a personable multi-tasker with strong change and stakeholder management experience.

Our minimum requirements are as follows;
  • 10+ years program management experience  
  • Demonstrated process improvement and experience
  • PMP or other Program Management certification/experience preferred
  • BA or BS in Finance, Business Administration or similar
  • MBA, highly preferred
  • Business consulting qualifications and 5+ years’ experience preferred
  • Very proficient in the following software tools: Microsoft Project, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams of SMEs and analysts
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large programs
  • Demonstrated experience with portfolio management  
  • Has advanced negotiation and presentation skills
  • Extensive industry experience and is comfortable working in a cross-functional team environment that is global in reach.
