WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will provide support to our DoD customer in testing and verification of solutions, along with providing hands on support to customers as technology is being deployed.

  • Support testing and validation of solutions, software strategies, configure devices, and troubleshoot errors.
  • Partner with the account team to understand their strategy for account growth – both product and services provide insight to buying strategy and initiatives.
  • You show the value of our services at all times – be dedicated, get involved in all aspects of the delivery, and provide visibility to various customer forums.
  • You demonstrate consulting skills and customer facing experience, which should include working with the Senior Leadership Team where required.
  • Have high level command of IOS, lead technical discussions about features and functionality of products, and immediately turn that around into reality for the customer.
  • Prior demonstrated experience working with minimal direct supervision. You should be able to effectively work on your own and engage other team members when required to meet the customer’s needs. Work should be completed on time and require minimal edits.
  • CCIE is highly desirable, demonstrated equivalent experience in any one of the specialties listed will be considered: R/S, Data Center, Security.
  • Will have a CISSSP, SEC+, CCNA Security or equivalent.
  • Typically requires BS/CS/Business or equivalent plus 6-8 years’ experience in a network engineering or telecommunications support environment.
  • Facilitate assessments of the network utilizing our toolset.
  • Provide consulting to remediate findings.
  • Travel up to 25%.

We are looking for someone with demonstrated expertise in one or more of the technical specialties below:


ROUTE SWITCH:

  • Cisco Routing & Switching Platforms, Datacenter Switching Platforms, IP Routing, Internetworking, LAN Switching, and Multicast.
  • Experienced in providing complex design recommendations integrating new features and new applications to Senior Leadership Teams.
  • Cisco Products: Cisco ISR Routers, Cisco ASR routers, Nexus, Catalyst switches
  • Technologies: LAN Switching, Layer 2 WAN technologies, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, QOS, Multicast, Layer2/3 VPNs, SNMP, Netflow, 802.1x
  • Perform analysis and diagnosis of complex networking, security, or collaboration problems.
  • Build simulated networks in test labs to resolve problems and compatibility issues.


DATA CENTER:

  • Applications, Storage, Network, Server and projects surrounding their planning, design, implementation, operation, and optimization.
  • Architectural knowledge of virtualization tools and concepts, three-tiered application environments.
  • Expert familiarity with cloud computing concepts including virtualization, web services API's, elastic infrastructure, distributed data storage (database, block, object), multi-tenancy.
  • Cisco's Data Center Product Line: Nexus Products (N7K, N5k, N2k, N1kV), Catalyst products (68XX, 65xx, 49xx switches), and UCS. Content Switching, Caching and Content Delivery
  • Compute technologies: x86, hypervisor (ESXi/KVM/Acropolis), OS (Linux/Windows), workload mobility
  • Storage technologies: file (NAS), block (SAN), object storage, transport (FCoE, iSCSI, etc), replication, backup, and performance
  • Network/Infrastructure Security technologies (Firewall, access control, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, administrative access control) and Compliance.
  • Networking: Layer 2/Layer 3 switching, Routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, ISIS, and BGP, DNS/DHCP, network virtualization, vPC, fabricpath, VXLAN, OTV, LISP
  • Basics of higher layer protocols: SSL/TLS, HTTP, real-time traffic (voice/video), NFS, database access protocols, Loadbalancing


SECURITY:

  • System Hardening and Availability, Threat Identification and Mitigation, Intrusion Prevention and Content Security, Identity Management, Confidentiality and Secure Access (PKI, IKE, RSA, etc.).
  • Cisco Security Product Line: ASA Firewall/IPS/VPN, IOS Firewall, Cisco Firepower, ISE, StealthWatch
  • Network Security Technologies: Firewall, access control, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, administrative access control, VPN, 802.1x
  • Perform analysis and diagnosis of complex networking, security, or collaboration problems.
  • Build simulated networks in test labs to resolve problems and compatibility issues.
